Industry, labor groups organize to push coal exports as public debate intensifies

Mining groups, coal shippers, labor unions and business groups have joined forces in an effort to catch up with environmental groups in the battle for public attention as the debate over West Coast coal exports escalates. The Alliance for Northwest Jobs and Export announced its formation as a non-profit trade organization to advocate for advancing responsible development of coal export infrastructure to bring needed jobs to the Northwest.
