Spokane City Council requests coal train impacts study

The Spokane City Council unanimously passed a non-binding resolution requesting that state and federal officials study the environmental impacts of dramatically increasing the amount of coal traveling by train through the city.   They also voted to hold a hearing on the matter locally.
