Gateway Pacific Terminal Consultant Selection is CH2M HILL

Environmental consulting company CH2M HILL has been selected by Whatcom County, the Washington Department of Ecology and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to help prepare the required Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The contractor was selected through the county’s public competitive bidding process. Whatcom County and CH2M Hill will be entering into a contract for the scoping phase of the EIS process, expected to take place this summer. The county will also be entering into a contract with Pacific International Terminals, Inc. and BNSF Railway for the reimbursement of CH2M Hill fees as well as County fees associated with the EIS process.
