Coal export opponents bring 40,000 signatures to Olympia
Opponents of proposed coal terminals in Longview and Bellingham say they will deliver 40,000 protest signatures to state Commissioner of Public Land Peter Goldmark’s office in Olympia Wednesday.
The group, organized by the Washington Environmental Council, plans to highlight their concerns about health, economic and environmental impacts of the two terminals, which would be the two largest in North America if approved.
